5 minGeorgia Southern vs. Ohio Prediction, Pick, Odds: Can Ohio Stifle Davis Brin, Eagles in Myrtle Beach Bowl?
The Georgia Southern Eagles finished the season 6-6 after losing four straight games.
But that was still enough to clinch a bowl game against Ohio in the Myrtle Beach Bowl.
The Eagles haven't won a game since October and just allowed 55 points to Appalachian State in their last game.
Now, they'll take on an Ohio Bobcats team that has won four of their last five games. The Bobcats finished 9-3 on the season.
However, Georgia Southern hasn't lost any significant player to the transfer portal. Ohio did. The Bobcats won't have QB Kurtis Rourke at quarterback. They'll also be without their starting running back, backup running back, and a top wide receiver.
Is that a good enough reason to back Georgia Southern in this year's first bowl game?

Georgia Southern vs. Ohio Prediction
The Ohio Bobcats will likely have to turn to Parker Navarro as the quarterback.
Navvaro is a senior quarterback who has thrown for 65 yards and has rushed for 107 yards this season.
The Bobcats won't have Kurtis Rourke, and C.J. Harris has been injured for the year.
Meanwhile, running back Sieh Bangura, who earned 178 carries, is in the transfer portal, along with backup running back O'Shaan Allison, who earned 139 carries.
Rourke ran the ball 67 times, while Navarro added ten carries.
Navarro is now the leading passer and rusher on the team.
The offense is a major question mark. But at least Navarro is a veteran who has been around the game for an extended period. He's also a capable runner, which is good.
While the offense could struggle, the defense should still be on point. The Bobcats have held teams to 15.42 points per game. Opponents have only added 155.08 yards in the air and 95.25 yards on the ground.
However, Georgia Southern's offense is really good. The offense has earned nearly 31 points per game, with almost 285 yards in the air. The Eagles have also added another 124.08 yards on the ground this season.
Georgia Southern has a senior quarterback in Davis Brin, who threw for 3,431 yards in the air. However, while he threw 22 touchdowns, he also added 16 interceptions this season. His QBR of 45.7 was terrible.
In Brin's last game, he threw no touchdowns and three interceptions to Appalachian State. He's also not a capable runner.
With Georgia Southern's defense allowing 29.58 points per game, Ohio's offense could still find success. Other guys will have to step up, but it's just unlikely.
I trust the Ohio defense the most. Therefore, I'm on the Under in the Myrtle Beach Bowl.
