If you've been complaining about the dead period in sports, it's good to have you back!
Not only are the MLB and WNBA on the schedule, but we've also got the US Open in tennis, the Tour Championship in golf, and college football's Week 1.
Here are some of my favorite picks this weekend.

WNBA: Indiana Fever vs. Chicago Sky: Indiana -5.5 (-105) (Bet $105 to collect $205)
Friday, August 30, 7:30 PM ET
The Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky will play for the fourth and final time in the regular season tomorrow.
The Fever have won four of their last five games and are coming off a win against the Connecticut Sun. They're now a game away from getting back to .500 and look like one of the most comfortable teams in the league.
Meanwhile, the Sky have dropped to 11-19 on the season. While they've been competitive, they haven't been able to come away with many wins lately. The Chicago fan base will be electric for this game, as it was back on June 23 when Chicago squeaked by with an 88-87 victory.
But since that moment, the Fever have figured things out on both sides of the floor. I'll take the Fever at -5.5. They're actually closing games out.
WNBA: New York Liberty vs. Seattle Storm: Liberty (-125) (Bet $125 to collect $225)

New York Liberty only have had six losses this entire season. So when I see the Liberty at -125 on the road, I'll take it.
There's only been one instance this year when the Liberty lost two consecutive games. New York might not have forward Jonquel Jones due to a non-COVID illness, but they're still one of the deepest teams in the league.
In addition, the Liberty added a win over the Storm earlier this year, and held Seattle to just 63 points.
NCAAF: TCU vs. Stanford: TCU -9.5 (-110) (Bet $110 to collect $210)

It's a battle between a Big 12 team and an ACC team!
You read that right! Get used to it!
TCU beefed up its offensive line in the transfer portal. That should help redshirt sophomore quarterback Josh Hoover and the offense stay consistent this season.
Meanwhile, Stanford added some transfers as well. But didn't make a whole lot of moves. Last year's team was 3-9 overall and 0-7 at home.
They'll be home against a much more experienced TCU squad. Let's take TCU at -9.5.
NCAAF: Notre Dame vs. Texas A&M: Texas A&M -3 (-105) (Bet $105 to collect $205)

The storylines for this game are incredible. Only in college football do you get a coach who recruited a quarterback going up against one another for the first time on different teams.
If that didn't make sense, let me explain.
Last year's Duke team had Riley Leonard at quarterback and Mike Elko as head coach. In the off-season, Elko chose to take the job at Texas A&M, and Leonard decided to transfer from Duke to Notre Dame.
Now, Elko will coach against Leonard in the first game, where both are not in Duke Blue.
That has to be an advantage for Elko and the A&M Aggies, who will know Leonard's tendencies and play at home.
NCAAF: USC vs. LSU: Over 64.5 (-110) (Bet $110 to collect $210)
Sunday, September 1, 7:30 PM ET
If last year's bowl games indicate Sunday's game, I expect a lot of points.
Miller Moss stunned Louisville in the Holiday Bowl. He threw for 372 yards and six touchdowns, backing up for Caleb Williams, who opted out of the game. That game ultimately won Moss the starting job this season.
On the other hand, Jayden Daniels didn't play in LSU's ReliaQuest Bowl. Garrett Nussmeier took the starting position and launched 395 yards passing with three touchdowns. Now, he'll be the starting quarterback and lead LSU.
This game has the Over written all over it.
