Miami vs. Louisville Prediction, Pick Against the Spread, Latest Odds

The Miami Hurricanes and the Louisville Cardinals will clash for an ACC affair on Saturday afternoon.

Miami comes into this contest with a record of 6-0. That undefeated record has earned them the number six ranking in the nation. Miami entered the season ranked 19th in the nation, and has steadily climbed the rankings in the first two months.

Today will be the Canes' toughest test of the season on the road. The Hurricanes know that a win will greatly improve their chances of reaching the College Football playoffs.

Miami has not posted a 10-win season since 2017. Since 2004, the Canes have won 10 games or more just once. With the expanded playoff field, this Canes team has the best chance to win a championship of any team over the last two decades.

Miami vs. Louisville Odds

  • Total Odds: O 59.5 (-110), U 59.5 (-110)

The Miami odds opened at -4.5 before flying up to -5.5 over the course of the week. It has settled down towards -5 at some sportsbooks ahead of kickoff. The total has bounced back and forth, but has settled back at the original 59.5 number.

Miami vs. Louisville Prediction

Washington State transfer Cam Ward is a major reason for the team’s success. Ward leads the offense with 2,219 yards, 20 touchdowns, and five interceptions. Ward is a Heisman Trophy candidate.

Damien Martinez leads the ground game with 292 yards and five touchdowns.

Senior Xavier Restrepo is the top target in the passing game, racking up 585 yards and five touchdowns.

Louisville begins this contest with a record of 4-2. Jeff Brohm's team reached the ACC Championship a season ago where they lost against the Florida State Seminoles. A win today would keep the Cardinals in the conversation to win the ACC.

Louisville was ranked as high as 15th in the nation this season but lost back-to-back games against Notre Dame and SMU, falling out of the top 25. Last weekend, the Cardinals bounced back with a 24-20 road win over Virginia.

Veteran signal caller Tyler Shough leads the offense with 1,674 passing yards, 14 touchdowns, and three interceptions.

Freshman Issac Brown leads the ground game with 508 yards and three touchdowns.

Ja’Corey Brooks has been Shough's favorite target, with 30 receptions worth 572 yards and six touchdowns.

Miami vs. Louisville Pick

We will gladly take the points with the home underdog today.

I have been extremely impressed with this Cardinals team, outside of the loss against SMU.

Miami has been shaky the last couple of weeks, and is in a difficult position on the road today against an experienced Louisville team.

The Cardinals' defense will be the X-factor in this game. I believe they will get to Ward and force a key turnover.
