ANALYSIS

Michigan vs. Ohio State Prediction, Pick Against the Spread, Latest Odds

The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Michigan Wolverines will clash on Saturday afternoon.

"The Game," as it has been nicknamed, is one of the season's biggest events. There is no love between these two historic programs. This rivalry dates back to October 16, 1897. Michigan won that first matchup 34-0.

The rivalry has been back and forth, with the Wolverines leading the all-time series 61-51-6. The Wolverines won the head-to-head matchup last season 30-24. Michigan has won three consecutive meetings.

The Wolverines claimed a National Championship a season ago, but unfortunately for the Michigan faithful, they have struggled this season. Michigan has posted a record of 6-5.

Former head coach Jim Harbaugh departed for the NFL in the ofseason while there were multiple other key departures on the roster. Scoring points has been a major issue for the Wolverines this season.

Michigan has lost four of its last six games, but the Wolverines are coming off a comfortable 50-6 win over Northwestern last weekend.

Michigan vs. Ohio State Prediction

Davis Warren leads the offense with 1,064 passing yards, six touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

Senior Kalel Mullings has rushed for 832 yards and 11 touchdowns. Tight end Colston Loveland has been the favorite target in the passing game with 582 yards and five touchdowns.

Ohio State rolls into the matchup with a record of 10-1. The Buckeyes are the current betting favorites to win the National Championship.

That 10-1 record has Ohio State ranked second in the nation. Head coach Ryan Day believes this is the best team he has had at Ohio State. The Buckeyes' lone loss this season came against top-ranked Oregon in a thriller. Ohio State is coming off a commanding 38-15 win at home against then fifth-ranked Indiana.

West Chester, PA, native Will Howard leads the team with 2,685 passing yards, 26 touchdowns, and six interceptions.

Quinshon Judkins leads the rush attack with 759 yards and eight touchdowns. Freshman standout Jeremiah Smith has collected a team-best 899 yards and nine touchdowns.

Ohio State ranks first in the nation in points allowed per game (10.7).

Michigan vs. Ohio State Pick

There is a major talent gap between these two teams this season.

Michigan has been brutal offensively and now runs into the best defensive unit in College Football.

I would not be surprised if Michigan does not score a point in this game.

After three years of losing, expect a dominant Ohio State win today.
