The Boise State Broncos and the UNLV Runnin' Rebels meet tonight with a Mountain West Championship on the line. In the past, this would be an appetizer for college football championship weekend; a good game that only fans of the teams and diehard college football fans watch. However, that's far from the case this season.
Thanks to the brand new College Football Playoff, a win for Boise State not only locks them into the postseason but also secures a first-round bye in the tournament. As for UNLV, thanks to the fact that the top-five conference champions get a spot in the CFP, there's a chance that a win for them would lock them into the Playoffs as well, although they wouldn't get a first-round bye.
There is so much on the line in tonight's Mountain West Championship game, so let's break down my Boise State vs. UNLV prediction and best bet.

We will ride with the square side in this game.
Boise is a much better team and matches up well with UNLV. As mentioned, the Broncos are playing for a playoff berth and a bye. Jeanty will enjoy a monster game, and the Boise State run game will wear down this Rebels defense.
