Memphis vs. NC State Same Game Parlay - Gasparilla Bowl

Jayden Scott Anytime Touchdown

With NC State’s starting running back Hollywood Smothers opting out of this game, Jayden Scott is set to take over as the lead back, and the opportunity boost here cannot be overstated. Scott has already shown he can handle a full workload at a high level, and when he’s been asked to step into the RB1 role earlier this season, he delivered in a massive way.

In the game Smothers missed against then–top-10 Georgia Tech, Scott erupted for 196 rushing yards and a touchdown, proving he can thrive even against elite competition. Now he gets a much softer matchup against a Memphis defense that has struggled mightily to stop the run, allowing nearly two rushing touchdowns per game on the season.

With NC State likely leaning on the ground game to control tempo and protect a vulnerable defense, Scott should see goal-line carries and volume throughout the game. Given the matchup, the workload, and his proven ceiling when given the starting role, backing Scott to find the end zone is a strong value play.

Cortez Braham 40+ Receiving Yards

Cortez Braham has been one of the most reliable receiving options in college football this season, and the consistency alone makes this line feel extremely modest. Braham has gone over 40 receiving yards in 9 of his last 10 games, averaging an impressive 80.5 receiving yards per game during that stretch.

The matchup only adds to the appeal. NC State owns one of the weakest pass defenses in the country, surrendering 283 passing yards per game, and they’ve repeatedly struggled to contain perimeter receivers. Memphis should have no issue attacking this secondary early and often, especially if NC State leans on the run offensively and shortens possessions.

With Braham’s established role, high target share, and ability to create chunk plays, he doesn’t need an outlier performance to clear this number. A few early completions could put this leg well on its way before halftime.

Memphis vs. NC State Same Game Parlay (+113) Check out these best odds on DraftKings Sportsbook

  • Jayden Scott Anytime Touchdown
  • Cortez Braham 40+ Receiving Yards

This same game parlay is built around clear opportunity and exploitable defensive weaknesses. Jayden Scott steps into a featured role against a run defense that bleeds touchdowns, while Cortez Braham continues to feast against one of the nation’s worst pass defenses. At +113, this parlay offers solid value without requiring anything extreme from either player — just them continuing to do what the matchup sets up perfectly for.
