The rushing attack has become the defining feature. Liberty enters Thursday averaging 208.2 rushing yards per game, best in Conference USA, and has topped 200 yards on the ground in three consecutive games.
Liberty has also become increasingly comfortable playing from ahead. The Flames have been able to shorten second halves with the run, protect their defense and force opposing quarterbacks into obvious passing situations.
