These kinds of divisional rivalry games are always very hard to predict. For the most part, these teams do not like each other and will be doing their best to send their opponents home defeated. Normally these kinds of divisional games happen at different parts of the season when teams are drastically different, but the Browns actually played the Ravens just two games ago.

The last game was an incredibly low-scoring affair, with the Ravens picking up the victory 16-10. It was a bizarre game…to say the least. Lamar Jackson threw FOUR interceptions, and still came out on top, meanwhile, both Cleveland running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt were held under 30 rushing yards. Obviously, neither of those two things have happened before this year, and they likely won't happen again here.

Overall given the bye-week and potential health of Baker Mayfield, I'm gonna side with the Browns -2.5 here. While betting on Baker Mayfield's health may not be the most successful strategy out there, I think this team comes out with a much better showing. I'm not convinced the Ravens are a legitimate contender this season and I think the Browns are gonna show why on Sunday.

Devonta Freeman o11.5 Carries

It's a Devonta Freeman world, and we’re all just living in it. Over the last five weeks, he's taken over as the starting running back on this team and put up stat lines of:

  • 14-52-1 vs PIT
  • 16-52-0 vs CLE
  • 16-49-1 vs CHI
  • 10-35-0 vs MIA
  • 13-79-2 vs MIN

Over this span, he's really been one of the most consistent RB’s in football with only one singular disappointing game that came against the Dolphins. Considering the fact that the Ravens trusted him to carry the ball 16 times against the Browns gives me confidence he can run the ball at least 12 times here.

Just looking at his performances above, he ran the ball 12+ times in three straight games and four of his last five as the starter on this team. Since cutting ties with Le'Veon Bell and Ty’son Williams, Freedman has been nothing but solid in this RB1 role. With a total of 43, bookmakers are expecting a slower-paced low scoring game. While that's normally not great for running backs, it means the likelihood of a blowout is less, giving us more opportunities for Freeman to get carries.
