Seattle Seahawks vs Denver Broncos Prediction
Denver comes into this one with high hopes entering the season. A lot of that has to do with the new signal caller in the form of Russell Wilson. The big stormy line tonight is Wilson returning to Seattle, where he is a legend. Wilson led this team to a super bowl, and if it wasn’t for a heroic play by Malcolm Butler, it would have been two Super Bowls. He may be the best Seahawk of all time, and now his first game as a Bronco will be in his former team's stadium.
It is funny how football works sometimes, and you have to expect Russ to be fired up for this game tonight. Wilson still appears to have a lot left in the tank, and this could be a dangerous Denver roster. They were a top ten defense last year, but when it came to scoring points, they ranked towards the bottom of the NFL. With the addition of Wilson and the skill position players that this team has, their offense is expected to be much better this season.
For Seattle, they are expected to finish towards the bottom of the NFL. They got worse on both sides of the ball in the off-season, and when they traded Wilson, it was fairly obvious that they were ready for a rebuild. Geno Smith will start the season as the starting QB. Backing up Smith will be former Bronco Drew Lock.
I am backing the Broncos here tonight. This line reminds me a lot of the Jets and Ravens line, which was a bit puzzling. The Broncos should not be -6.5 tonight. They are a much better team than Seattle, and the line is a bit fishy. I will not overthink this one, however, and I will trust the much better team to come out and take care of business tonight.
Russell Wilson will be fired up to be back in Seattle, and I believe that he will go out and Domaine this game with his new weapons. Seattle should be extremely challenged offensively due to one of the worst lines in football paired with a below-average QB. This is also a top-ten defense in the league in the Denver Broncos. I expect a blowout tonight. Let's stay hot!
