We are coming off massive week one in the NFL, and I am ready to run it back as we kick off week two. The Los Angeles Chargers vs. the Kanas City Chiefs will battle from arrowhead stadium. The Chargers are coming off a hard-fought win over division rival the Oakland Raiders, while the Chiefs are fresh off a lopsided victory over the Arizona Cardinals.

Chiefs vs. Chargers Prediction

The Chiefs came into the season as the favorites out of the AFC West, while the Chargers enjoyed the second-best odds. The Chargers have been the trendy pick by a lot of people to come out of the West. This is undoubtedly the best division in football, as the Broncos and Raiders are above-average teams. The Chiefs have run this division as of late, but one of these teams will look to dethrone Patrick Mahomes and company this season. If any team can do it, in my opinion, it is the Chargers.

This is an offense that was outstanding last season, led by Justin Herbert, but their issues came on the defensive side of the football. The Chargers addressed some issues on the defensive side of the football in the off-season and now appear to have one of the best defenses in football. Kansas City had an interesting off-season when they moved on from their number one wideout, Tyreek Hill. Some wondered how this would affect Patrick Mahomes. In week one, it did not appear to affect him at all, as he was able to drive with ease throughout the game. We will find out if this will be a factor as the season goes along. 

I am buying the hook and backing the Chiefs. The Chargers are a public dog here, and it appears some people forget who Patrick Mahomes is. All I saw this offseason was people picking the Chargers or the Broncos to win the division and many forgetting who runs the West. Kansas City is still the best team in the division because of number fifteen. This will be the home opener for KC, and this is one of the most difficult stadiums in football to play in. The loss of Keenan Allen will definitely play a factor here for the Chargers as well, as they do not have great depth at the wideout position. I love this spot for KC on Thursday.
