The Cincinnati Bengals are hoping to bounce back in Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys. For this game, Jason Radowitz shares his player prop predictions and eyes in on Joe Mixon.
ANALYSIS

Bengals vs. Cowboys Prop Predictions: Joe Mixon Should Have a Big Day

The Cincinnati Bengals turned the ball over five times with Joe Burrow under center. Burrow hadn't played any preseason football, and his rust showed throughout their meeting against the Steelers.

The Bengals had their chances to beat the Steelers in Week 1 but ultimately lost in overtime. Things went wrong for the Bengals, but the Cowboys don't want to hear any of it.

The Cowboys will welcome the Bengals to town for a Week 2 matchup without their star quarterback, Dak Prescott, who injured his hand in the fourth quarter of Week 1 against the Buccaneers.

Before his injury, the Cowboys didn't score a touchdown. When he left, Cooper Rush came in and also didn't score a touchdown.

The Cowboys' defense made plenty of stops against the Buccaneers around the red zone, but the offense just didn't do anything all night, leading the Cowboys to lose that game 19-3.

The Bengals will want to commit to the run to begin the game. If there's any weakness on Dallas' defense, it's the run defense. Dallas allowed 152 yards on the ground in Week 1, essentially allowing Leonard Fournette to do whatever he wanted when rushing the football.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys will look to run the ball much earlier in this game without Prescott. They've got Zeke Elliott and Tony Pollard, who can handle the duties.

However, the Bengals held the Steelers to just 75 yards on the ground and looked elite with their run defense. If Cincinnati can stifle the run against the Cowboys, Dallas will be forced to throw and rely on Cooper Rush. That wouldn't be great for Dallas.

Therefore, I won't be betting on any Dallas player props. There are a lot of unknowns with this team. However, we know that the Bengals have plenty of exciting talent on the offensive end that deserves our attention.

Here are some player props to consider for the game.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Cincinnati Bengals Prop Predictions

Joe Mixon Over 72.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

In Week 1 against the Steelers, Mixon earned 27 carries for 82 yards. He didn't run all that effectively, but he got his attempts in.

Yes, some of those attempts came in overtime. But the Bengals figure to be leading early against the Cowboys in this game. In the second half, they'll feed Mixon, and we already talked about how the rushing defense is the one real weakness of the Cowboys' defense to begin the season.

As long as the attempts are there, Mixon will quickly get over 72.5 rushing yards in this one.

Joe Mixon Longest Rush Over 15.5 Yards (-115)

Last week, Leonard Fournette rushed 21 times for 127 yards. He averaged six yards per carry and had a long of 17 yards.

That would do it for Mixon, who would need 16 yards to get his longest rush prop to go over. While he only averaged three yards per carry last week, he broke out for a 31-yard rush against the Steelers last week.

The Steelers are a tough defense to run on. They've always been. But Mixon still found a way to burst out for a significant gain on one play. That should also be the case against the Cowboys this week.
