Two AFC foes will meet in Baltimore this weekend riding high off of week one wins, as the Miami Dolphins head north to take on the Ravens. For the home team, Lamar Jackson began the season with no new contract, as he and his agent (mother) were unable to come to terms with the Ravens. As for Miami’s gunslinger, Tua Tagovailoa is now firmly the QB1 in Miami, just one season removed from the team being unsure about his NFL ceiling.

With reason for optimism surrounding both teams, let’s take a closer look at three player prop I’m keyed in on for this weekend’s week two matchup.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Miami Dolphins Best Player Prop Picks

Anytime Touchdown Scorer - Tyreek Hill (+160) (Bet $100 to win $160)

As it turns out, like Patrick Mahomes was on Thursday night, Tyreek Hill is going to be just fine without the relationship moving forward. In game one of his stint with the Dolphins, Hill leads the team with 94 yards on the day, including a 26-yard reception. One thing he hasn’t found quite yet is the end zone.

I think that will change this weekend.

With 2021 first-round draft pick Jaylen Waddle now lining up across from him, Hill has a solidified WR2, as Waddle broke the rookie reception record last year with 104. In this game, look for the six-time Pro Bowler Hill to get his touches early, and find pay dirt before this one is all said and done.

Anytime Touchdown Scorer - Lamar Jackson (+140) (Bet $100 to win $140)

The 2019 NFL MVP comes into this season with a chip on his shoulder, and I expect that to come through in his play; just as it did in week one. Throwing for three touchdowns in a game they never were really in danger of losing, Jackson added another 17 yards on the ground.

While I think we see Jackson make a more concerted effort to throw the ball this season given that’s been his primary criticism, I don’t think he will be able to help himself here at home. Add in a solid Dolphins rushing attack, and I think we see Jackson escape the pocket on more than one occasion and we know it doesn’t take much for him to break one. Add in the fact the Ravens averaged just 3 yards per carry and 63 rushing yards on the day last week, and I think we see Jackson play a more pivotal role in the rushing attack moving forward this season.

Total Rushing Yards - Tua Tagovailoa OVER 8.5 (-115) (Bet $115 to win $100)

Though he doesn’t have the wheels of Jackson, Tagovailoa has sneaky speed and I think this total is set too low for the former Alabama QB. Averaging over three yards per carry last season, we’ve yet to see Tagovailoa get into the open field through two weeks, which I think changes in week two.
