The Minnesota Vikings take on the Philadelphia Eagles in the later game of the Monday Night Football slate. John Hyslop shares his best bet for the Vikings vs Eagles MNF game.
ANALYSIS

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Minnesota Vikings Prediction, Pick, Odds: Week 2 MNF Best Bet

We've got two Monday night games on tonight so obviously, we're betting both of them. We're gamblers and that's what gamblers do. What I like to do on a night like this, is find an absolute banger that has no chance of losing for the late game. That way I can sit and watch the early game knowing that I have no chance of losing on the night because I have an absolute banger just sitting in my account. Waiting. I've done this a million times and it's worked every time (for the vibes during the early game). Lucky for us, I'm an over guy and the final game of the night is between the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles. Both of those teams could be over teams. All that's needed now is an over-the-move and we're gold. Talk about living the dream.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Minnesota Vikings Pick

Minnesota Vikings Team Total Over 23.5 (-110) (Bet $110 to win $100)

*Odds available at FanDuel at time of publishing*

We're at FanDuel here but this line is also available at every other book on the planet. Literally all of them. Same price too. I'm still looking for a place that will give us alt lines on team totals so if you know of one, let me know. Don't keep that kind of information to yourself. Let it out. It would be nice to know what a 30+ points move would be. Not that I think this will happen tonight, but it could.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Minnesota Vikings Prediction

Here's the thing about the Vikings. They might actually be legit. Like legit-legit. They didn't quite get over this number last week against the Green Bay Packers but after seeing the Packers last night, I don't feel so bad. Plus Minnesota hung 23 on Green Bay so they were right there. The thing is, the Vikings didn't even bust out everything last week. It was really only Justin Jefferson. Between Dalvin Cook and Adam Thielen, the Vikings have other "guys". Even KJ Osborn could get wild if you really want to get down to it.

My thoughts are Minnesota just needs an opponent to push them and I think that team could be the Eagles. First off, the Eagles play fast which is good. More possessions, more chances at points. That's just expert analysis right there. On top of that, I think they'll score a few points themselves so it won't be a situation where the Vikings can take their foot off the gas. Nobody wants to see that. But at the end of the day, betting is about numbers and 23.5 is a damn good number for this Minnesota team. They don't need to have a great night to get over that. This could be over by halftime.
