We can't watch NFL football on Wednesdays, but we can still bet on it. Nobody can take that away from us (probably). What I like to do is find two favorites, preferably in the -6 to -7 range, and tease them down so they basically just have to win.
With any luck, we'll forget we ever placed this thing which is gold on Sunday. To have two teams that will probably blow out their opponents on a ticket that only requires them to win (basically) is pure adrenaline. Everyone knows that. Specifically when you don't even remember you have it until after the games have started on Sunday. Lucky for us, we've got two teams that I think can win by double digits. Who knows where the line will be on Sunday, but we don't need to worry about that. We're locking this in right now.
NFL Week 3 Teaser Picks
6-Point NFL Teaser (-120) - DraftKings (Bet $120 to win $100)
- Kansas City Chiefs -.5
- Philadelphia Eagles -.5
We're at DraftKings because if you wanted to do this at FanDuel it would cost you a lung. Maybe more. I'm kidding, but it's -134 which is way too expensive for a 6-point NFL teaser. Especially in this economy given what groceries and gas cost. We simply can't pay -134 for this stuff. Even if we know there is no chance this thing will lose. We must have our principles.
The Kansas City Chiefs -.5 leg of this thing is an absolute joke. I get that we can't overreact to the Colts laying an egg last week but that happened. They got waxed by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Who the hell gets waxed by the Jags? That's terrible. The Colts' stans are going to blame the fact that Michael Pittman was out but is that the reason? Really? They've now given up 20+ points to the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars in the first two weeks. Somehow they're just going to stop Patrick Mahomes now? None of this makes sense. The Chiefs will roll Sunday.
The next one is one I am skeptical of but I'm going to listen to the people. The Philadelphia Eagles are not on my "List of Teams that CAN Win the Super Bowl" and their fans are crying in my mentions. Like all over the place. So, being a true man of the people, I'm going to give the Eagles a chance to get on the list. All they have to do is cover .5 points this Sunday against the Washington Commanders. That's it. If they do that, I will consider putting them on the list. Their offense has looked legit as well as their defense. Surely they can get by Carson Wentz and the Commanders. Right?
