Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Prediction

The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns will renew one of the oldest rivalries in the NFL on Thursday night as we kick off Week 3. The Steelers come into this game fresh off a tough loss at home against New England, while the Browns enter play off of a brutal loss to the New York Jets. The Browns led by double digits with under two minutes to go and lost the game in regulation. They will look to get that sour taste out of their mouth tonight with a home win over the Steelers.

Cleveland was active in the off-season as they went out and traded for Deshaun Watson. We all know about the Watson case, and the official verdict from the league was that he would be suspended for eight games. Until Watson returns, the Browns will be led by veteran QB Jacoby Brissett. Brissett had some really solid years in Indianapolis, and he has been solid for Cleveland through his first couple of games.

Cleveland has one of the best running back duos in the game in Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. They rely on these guys for most of their offense, and they have answered the call so far. Chubb is coming off of a three-touchdown performance against New York on Sunday. Pittsburgh turned to veteran Mitch Trubisky as their starting QB. Mitch has struggled in his first two starts, and the questions of Kenny Pickett taking over are already looming. Pittsburgh is a team that also heavily relies on their run game and defense.

This game is going to be ugly. Let me start off with that, but I ultimately like Cleveland here. I am sipping some juice and taking them on the field goal spread. Cleveland is the better team, and we get them at home tonight, coming off of a brutal loss. I think they are the healthier team and on a short week, they should hold that advantage. The Steelers offense has been brutal, and until they make some changes, I do not see them getting it going. Cleveland should be able to establish the run tonight and play off of that. I expected an ugly grinded-out win at the dog pound tonight for the Browns.
