Risking 3 units to win 2 units here. This is our version of a “lock” even though I find that term to be silly. As we went over in our Wilson play, 32/33 NFL games so far have had 14 or fewer points scored in the 1st quarter. This trend should continue. Two touchdowns and extra points can be scored and it wouldn’t even matter with our under 14.5. It’s just a beautiful juice reducer to get Waller from 47.5 yards down to 30 yards.
It’s funny both the Garrett Wilson bet and this one is reducing a 47.5 line to needing over 29.5. Waller is such a huge part of the Vegas offense and he should be relied upon even more this week. Hunter Renfrow has not been practicing and will likely be out for Week 3. This leaves Davante Adams and Darren Waller with added responsibility to help move the chains. Adams is the scarier threat so if anyone will be double-teamed it should be him.
Only 30 yards for Waller should be a breeze. In his first two games of the year, he has 50 and 79 yards. Dating back to 2020 we have seen Waller hit this in 17 of 19 games. That is nearly a 90% hit rate with a juice reducer that has hit 97% of the games this year. This is worth being tied for our biggest play of the week. If Dawson Knox can get 40+ against this same Titans team then Waller should easily get 30 or more. Let's roll!
