Los Angeles Rams vs. Carolina Panthers Prediction

The Carolina Panthers have moved on from Matt Rhule as head coach of the program. Steve Wilks will be the interim head coach.

If things weren't already tough, they're even more challenging now. Starting quarterback Baker Mayfield will miss a couple of games due to injury. Meanwhile, Sam Darnold is already out with an injury.

Therefore, PJ Walker will get the start for the Panthers. Walker has had starts under center for the Panthers last year and will be comfortable in this spot again. Still, the Panthers have scored 18.6 points per game while allowing 24.4 points.

The offense has averaged fewer than 300 yards per game. Now they're onto their third-stringer. The Panthers hope Christian McCaffrey will take on a more significant workload in this game against the Rams. However, the Rams have been dominant against the run.

On the other hand, the Rams haven't looked all that great this season. At 2-3, the Rams have more questions than answers. Matthew Stafford has five touchdowns to seven interceptions. Against Carolina, Stafford should be able to work through his issues and be fine.

However, for personal reasons, Cam Akers won't play in this game. He's led the team in rushing with 151 yards on 51 carries. What can we expect in Sunday's game? Here are some player props for Sunday's matchup between the Los Angeles Rams vs. Carolina Panthers.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Carolina Panthers Prop Picks

Matthew Stafford Over 261.5 Passing Yards (-115) (Bet $115 to win $100)

Matthew Stafford Over 35.5 Longest Completion (-120) (Bet $120 to win $100)

The Rams have to get Matthew Stafford headed in the right direction. The Rams are just 2-3 on the season, and Stafford already has seven interceptions. This is the game to get Stafford right.

Cam Akers won't be available for the Rams. They'll still have Henderson, but to get the best out of their lineup, the Rams have to throw it. Carolina has allowed over 225 yards in the air per game and has struggled in coverage while also missing many of tackles throughout the first five weeks of the season. I like Stafford to earn 262 yards passing in this game. He's hit at least 240 in every game and just threw for over 300 yards against Dallas. Plus, his completion percentage is nearly 70%.

He's hovered around a long of 30 yards in most games, but against this Carolina defense that can't tackle, Stafford should connect for a long one. It'll most likely go to Cooper Kupp.

Cooper Kupp Over 90.5 Receiving Yards (-115) (Bet $115 to win $100)

Kupp has 49 receptions for 527 yards and four touchdowns this season. He's only averaging 10.8 yards per catch, but the volume is so high that he's earning about 10 receptions per game. If he gets 10 receptions against this Carolina defense, Kupp will easily surpass that 91-yard prop total and probably reach over 100 yards. Kupp is one of the most consistent receivers in the game. Back him to have a big game receiving.
