The Kansas City Chiefs have easily been the better offense. Patrick Mahomes has thrown 17 touchdowns with just four interceptions on the season. He's also thrown for 1736 yards in six games on the season.
His receivers are still very talented, between Travis Kelce, JuJu Smith Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Mecole Hardman. But the pass protection has been far from excellent for the Chiefs.
Kelce already has seven touchdowns on 41 receptions for 455 yards. The loss to Tyreek Hill hasn't hurt the Kansas City offense much.
Defensively, the Chiefs have struggled against the run and aren't tackling very well. The coverage also has been average at best, allowing 286 yards in the air per game.
After all, the Chiefs' defense is good enough when they have Patrick Mahomes at quarterback.

On the other hand, the 49ers are averaging under 21 points per game. However, they've also held opponents to 14.8 yards per game.
Jimmy Garoppolo has taken over at quarterback and has thrown 1153 yards with seven touchdowns and three interceptions. The passing game has been a bit weak, but his receivers are dropping passes left and right lately.
The 49ers also love running the football, but the run block could be better.
Deebo Samuel has rushed plenty of times, but he's also been a massive factor in the passing game, earning 27 catches and 345 yards through six games.
The defense for the 49ers has been elite, especially in coverage, holding teams to 193.3 yards per game in the air. The pass rush has also been effective, and the 49ers continue to do a solid job at making tackles.
Don't be surprised if the 49ers keep this game close into the fourth quarter. However, the Chiefs should be able to find a way out of San Francisco with a win. Sometimes a good defense isn't good enough against Mahomes.
