New England Patriots vs. Chicago Bears Prediction

The Bears come into this game representing a record of 2-4 on the season. Chicago comes into this game, losing three games in a row. The Bears are a team who entered the year with a lot of question marks. The main question mark is surrounding Justin Fields.

Fields was drafted by the Bears to be the face of the franchise, and to this point in his career, he has not lived up to that hype. Some of that is due to the talent around him. Chicago has struggled to get production out of their skill positions, and this makes it tough to judge where Fields stands in his career.

The Patriots, on the other side of things, enter this game playing to the tune of a 3-3 record. They have been playing some solid football as of late and will have a chance to get north of .500 tonight. New England has been led the last few weeks by rookie Bailey Zappe.

Zappe has led them to back-to-back wins. He is filling in for Mac Jones currently, but as we all know, when a backup quarterback is playing good football, you will have a quarterback controversy. 

I will be backing the Bears with the points tonight. I love the line that we are getting here tonight. If you break it down, Chicago has been able to stay close to teams this season despite their 2-4 record. In the games that they have lost, they have only lost by more than one score one time.

In the kind of game script, I see the dog is just a good position. These are two teams that like to run the football and control the clock. This will limit possessions and make it easier for the dog to cover tonight.
