New England Patriots vs. Chicago Bears Prediction

Had to get a little creative with this one, as the spread has widened from -7.5 to -8.5, and the over/under has gone from 40.5 down to 39.5. Instead of picking one, we’ll work both into this play, with some minor modifications.

The Patriots have been able to impose their will on almost anybody they play, with a run-first mentality behind backs Rhamondre Stevenson and Damien Harris. Their defense has been playing lights out, and just got done shutting down Nick Chubb and the Cleveland Browns last week. Their opponent tonight has far less firepower, as Justin Fields should be in for a long night.

I expect to Patriots’ defense to clamp down on the Bears' offense, and force Fields to have to make plays, which should lead to turnovers. That mixed with the fact that both teams don’t mind running the ball extensively, so an inflated under of 51.5 feels safe here. Primetime games have been duds, for the most part, this year.
