New York Jets vs. New England Patriots Prediction, Pick, Odds: Can the Jets Extend Win Streak to 5?
The New York Jets are finally making noise in the NFL this season. They're 5-2 on the season and looking to win their fifth straight game, at home, against the New England Patriots.
The Patriots are below .500, while the Jets are three games above .500 in a Week 8 game in 2022.
Who would've thought?
The Jets have had to deal with multiple injuries. A couple of those injuries will sting, including Breece Hall at running back, who tore his ACL last week. Hall was going to be a top candidate for Offensive Rookie of the Year, but he's no longer able to play.
Therefore, the Jets added James Robinson in a trade with the Jaguars. New York has proven that they've bought into this season's team.

New York Jets vs. New England Patriots Prediction
The New York Jets weren't the only ones with drama last week.
The Patriots lost to the Chicago Bears, 33-14, at home, in a game where starting quarterback Mac Jones returned from injury.
Jones looked lost in the first quarter of the game. Therefore, the Patriots chose to give Bailey Zappe a chance under center. He started red hot but cooled off in the second half, and eventually, the Patriots lost by multiple scores in a rout.
It's unclear who will be the quarterback on Sunday or if both quarterbacks will get a chance like last week.
The Patriots have scored 22.1 points per game while allowing 20.9 points per game. The offense has gained over 350 yards per game, but that's mainly due to the running game. New England has earned over 120 yards rushing the football and will try and continue to do that moving forward.
Realistically, quarterback play has been better under Bailey Zappe. He helped the Patriots to multiple wins as the starter before Jones came back.
Meanwhile, defensively, the Patriots have been all over the place. The run defense is lacking, while the pass rush has sometimes been effective. In the secondary, the Patriots could do better. However, they've stayed disciplined when tackling opponents as a defense.
On the other hand, the Jets were getting a lot of production out of Breece Hall offensively. The Jets averaged 117 yards rushing but tried to protect the football, limit turnovers, and run the football.
It's been working. The Jets have won four straight, despite some wideouts unhappy with their targets. Ahem, Elijah Moore.
The Jets added James Robinson to give New York another running back option along with Michael Carter. It proved how much the Jets believe in this year's team despite the injuries.
On defense, the Jets are dominant up front. The pass rush can ease pressure on the quarterback, and the coverage has been good, anchored by first-round pick Sauce Gardner.
I liked the Patriots before Monday night. But after Monday night's game against the Bears, I'm changing my thoughts and backing the Jets as underdogs at home. The Patriots have been one of the more inconsistent teams in the NFL, while the Jets have been the exact opposite.
The Jets have scored at least 24 points in three of their last four games, and the defense has allowed no more than 20 points in a game over their four-game winning streak.
New York will be loud with a lot to cheer for on a four-game winning streak. I'll back them here.
