Rams vs. 49ers Prediction

1u - Matthew Stafford Over 23.5 Completions (-135) (Bet $135 to Collect $235) DraftKings has the best odds, click here to bet

This number really feels low. Stafford has hit this in five of six games this year, including against this same Niners team when he went 32-48. That 32-completion game was the most completions he had on the season, and he only needs 24 on Sunday. San Francisco only allows 21 completions per game, but it would make perfect sense if you’ve seen the poor quarterbacks they’ve faced.

Stafford has hit this in five of six games and has actually had at least 26 completions in all five of the hits. This game script projects to be very close, and the only miss Stafford had all year was against Arizona, who never lead the whole game, and the Rams could run late in the game. If this game projects to be close like I think it should, we have a great chance of hitting. San Francisco’s acquisition of CMC should hopefully help them put points on the board and force LA into passing situations.

Stafford has hit in four of his last five games against San Francisco and has hit in four of four home games this year. The Niners may only allow 21 completions, but they allow 67% of their passes to be completions. If Stafford throws 36 times, he would likely get to the 24 completions needed. Stafford is averaging 37.5 attempts a game and 26.6 completions. With Akers not playing and Henderson not impressing, I think LA will pass the ball more, and we could see more 1st down throws. I’ll take a bet with a 5/6 hit rate, with the easiest hit coming against the same team he’s playing again on Sunday any day. Let's roll!
