This one will be popular and I have already noticed line movement but we had to be responsible and make sure he was good to go for Sunday. Mostert ended the week limited but is not on the injury report heading into Sunday so I’m expecting a usual full workload for him tomorrow. Mostert has a dream matchup and has taken over this Miami backfield as the lead back, this could be a career game for him if everything comes together.
Mostert finds himself against my Detroit Lions who allow the 2nd most rushing yards in the league to running backs only trailing the Houston Texans. The Lions are 1-5 and in all five losses, they have allowed a runner to run for this total. Mostert has hit this in prop in three of his last four games and this is his easiest matchup on favor yet. Miami comes into this game as just -3.5 favorites but even if the Lions miraculously win or cover I see Mostert playing a role in the offense in all four quarters.
The Lions are allowing nearly 130 rushing yards to running backs a game. Edmonds will definitely get a few touches but Mostert saw 71% of the snaps last week and based on the level of play that number could rise if Mostert is 100%. Mostert has a big play upside with his blazing speed and the Lions constantly have miscommunications on defense, it would not surprise me if a chunk of this prop was hit on one run. Let's roll!
