- Marcus Mariota Under 174.5 Passing Yards
- PJ Walker Under 174.5 Passing Yards
This one is hanging proudly at DraftKings as we speak. Just slide the SGP bar over, and you'll see this magic. You can do a similar one at FanDuel and even get +231 for it. The thing is, Mariota is 157.5, and Walker is 165.5 over there. I don't like that one as much, but I think it will hit. But even though this is a YOLO move, I'd still say the safer bet at DraftKings is the way to go. It just is.
Here's the thing with Marcus Mariota. The Falcons don't want him throwing the ball. Since Week 1, the most attempts we've seen him have is 28. He's been under 20 three different times. That's led to insanely low passing yards totals, which makes sense. How will you throw for yards if you aren't throwing the ball (science)? Over his last five games, he's only been over this number once. Given the heavy rain expected tonight, I highly doubt this is a Mariota passing yards game.
As for PJ Walker, he threw for nine yards last week. They literally had to bring Baker Mayfield in to save him. He was awful. On top of that, Sam Darnold is in the mix, and the Panthers have said he will play before the end of the season. I think it would be dumb to do it tonight in the pouring rain, but this is the Panthers. We'll have to wait to see if he is active. Even if he's not, there's a real chance Walker doesn't even play this whole game, just like last week. If he does, he'll be throwing in a torrential downpour. I highly doubt he throws for more than 175 yards tonight.
