Texans vs. Commanders Prediction

1u - Brian Robinson o64.5 Rush Yards (-115). Bet $100 to collect $186

Might be riding the chalk here but a good bet is a good bet.

Last week we saw Robinson have a rushing prop of 33.5, but we don’t live in that world anymore. Robinson’s prop may have doubled, but I still see value in it for tomorrow. Robinson faces off against the single worst rush defense in the league. The Houston Texans allow 156 rushing yards per game to running backs. Houston has only had one game without allowing the RB1 to hit 65+ rush yards and that was Austin Ekeler who is notoriously known for being a receiving back more than a pure runner.

Robinson saw 26 handoffs against Philly last week. Although I don’t see him getting that type of workload again, I think he could see 17-18 attempts if the game script goes how it should. Robinson is due to some positive regression in his efficiency, and I expect his yards per carry to improve and this is the matchup to do it. Houston allows 5.4 yards per carry which are over 2 yards higher than Robinson’s, so I expect him to break a big run or two here.

Robinson has run for 60+ yards in 3/4 of the games he played in that Washington won. The Commanders enter this game as field goal favorites, and even if they lose I don’t see them abandoning the run knowing how bad Texans are at defending it. This number is slightly low and I think Robinson could see 70+ yards even with an inefficient night if he sees the volume. Gibson will get some work but let's hope Washington remains consistent and rides his momentum from last week onto Houston, let's roll!
