Cardinals vs. 49ers Prediction

The San Francisco 49ers vs. the Arizona Cardinals will clash from Mexico City for Monday night football. The 49ers enter play playing to the tune of a 5-4 record. This is a 49ers team that is much better than their record indicates. San Francisco has one of the best defenses in the NFL when healthy, and they have some of the best weapons in the NFL on the offensive side of the football, led by Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel. The Niners are still considered one of the favorites to come out of the NFC despite being just one game over the .500 mark.

Arizona, on the other side of things, has had a very disappointing season. The Cardinals come into play with a record of 4-6, and if they can not win tonight, their playoff chances become minimal. Arizona has been led by Kyler Murray, who signed a new contract in the off-season, making him one of the highest-paid QBs in the NFL. Murray has not lived up to that contract so far this season, and it appears he will be out for tonight’s game with an injury. Murray’s injury will likely force former Texas Longhorn Colt McCoy into action. McCoy played well last week, leading the Cardinals to a 27-17 win over the Rams. DeAndre Hopkins has been a crucial factor in the Cardinals' offense, who has logged 396 yards on 36 targets and added two touchdowns. Arizona comes in tonight as a heavy underdog sitting at +9.5 or +10, depending on the book.

Cardinals vs. 49ers Pick

I am backing the dog tonight. I will not say Colt McCoy is better than Kyler Murray, but I do not think Kyler being out should warrant the line being so large. This is still a divisional game, and I expect Arizona to come out and compete tonight. The pace that San Francisco plays at does not favor them covering this large of a number. This is a team that loves to run the football and control the clock. If Arizona can put up a few scores here, I think that they will stay within this number with relative ease. Let’s stay hot and cash in tonight!
