Detroit Lions vs. Buffalo Bills Prediction
Jared Goff 250+ Passing Yards (+102)Â (Bet $100 to Win $202)Â Click here for the best odds, available at FanDuel
This one is hanging at FanDuel right now, and it's glorious. If you want to go the alternate route at DraftKings, you'll have to go 300+ since they are not offering the 250+ option. On top of that, they have 300+ (+285), while FanDuel is giving us 300+ (+310). I love that DraftKings is doing the alt-line thing, but they still have work to do in terms of prices and options. I'm not judging though. Just saying. It's noticeable.
I know what you're thinking. You'd have to be an idiot to bet on Jared Goff. I actually agree with that statement. Do you think I don't know what this guy is capable of? He's ruined multiple tickets of mine, and I don't think he's ruined his last. He's a habitual ticket ruiner (RIP Charlie Murphy). The thing is, sometimes, just sometimes, he can surprise you. It has to be the perfect situation, but if everything is perfect, he's not that bad. (But everything has to be perfect. Like perfect, perfect.)
Now, this isn't a bet you want to tell your family you have until after it has hit. The last thing you want is your parents, uncle, or cousins who don't even watch football hassling you about betting on Goff. It could actually lead to an intervention that ends with you either calling the 800 number or possibly a stint in rehab. Nobody wants that, especially when this bet is well thought out, unlike most bets on Goff. This is a no-bullshit bet people. We don't just go in on Jared Goff willy-nilly. We have a plan here.
This comes down to the fact that I think the Bills can score all over the Lions, so the game script will be in our favor. The Lions will have to throw the ball more than they want to, but they could have DJ Chark and Josh Reynolds catching passes, even if it's in a limited capacity. Plus, this game is inside. Everybody knows Goff is an inside cat who should never be let outside. He's actually played four games indoors this season, and he went over this number in three of them. He's also getting a Bills team that has allowed every quarterback they've faced this month to go 320+ on them (Zach Wilson doesn't count). All I'm saying is, this isn't that crazy, and I don't think we should be getting +102 on this thing. Feels right.
