Dolphins vs. Texans Prediction

We're at DraftKings for these since they have the best numbers on Collins. Over at FanDuel, you'll have to go up to 42.5 (-110) for his yardage, which isn't crazy but it's still a worse number than DraftKings. In terms of receptions, it's pretty much the same bet at 3.5 (-102). If you're looking to YOLO a little, you could go 60+ (+205), 70+ (+310), 80+ (+470), 90+ (+640), or even 100+ (+880). It's Sunday, act like it.

The Houston Texans have fully reached the point of the season where nothing really matters. They're 1-8-1, they've benched their quarterback who was basically a backup anyway, and now they're 14-point dogs in Miami. Not great. But here's the thing, these guys aren't just going to quit. They're not built like that. We're talking about NFL players here. Their brains are wired differently than ours. I bet some of these Texans actually think they're going to go to Miami and win today. God bless them.

One of those guys is Nico Collins. The man is 6'4" tall and 215 pounds and made of pure, 100%, Grade-A testosterone. He went to Michigan for Christ's sake. You saw what they did to Ohio State yesterday. The Texans damn sure know what they have in him since he's been targeted 17 times in the last two weeks. In each of those games, he came down with five receptions and at least 48 yards. But that was with Davis Mills throwing the ball at him. That won't happen today.

The Texans have named Kyle Allen the starting quarterback and honestly, that's not that bad. Back in 2019, the guy threw for 300+ yards twice and went for 293 another time in just 13 games. If he has the right game script, he can go HAM. Fortunately for us, he's got the right game script today since the Texans are likely going to get their asses whipped by the Miami Dolphins. The same Dolphins that are bottom 10 in the NFL in opponent yards per pass attempt. Once the beating begins, the Texans will be in throw-it mode just like they were in the last two games where Collins was peppered with targets. I have no idea how either of these bets could possibly lose.
