Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings Prediction, Pick Against the Spread, and Latest Odds

To most people, this bet screams homer and I really can’t argue that too harshly. I’m picking a 5-7 Lions team to beat a 10-2 Vikings team outright, sounds a lot like I’m betting with my heart and not my head. Allow me to explain my NFL prediction and hopefully, I can corrupt your mind enough to try to see things from my perspective, let's do this.

Although the Lions are 5-7, it has been a tale of two seasons. Detroit began the season 1-6 and has since gone 4-1 with their only loss being a 3-point Thanksgiving loss to a Super Bowl contender in the Buffalo Bills. Detroit dismantled Jacksonville last week and handily beat a Giants team who was 7-2 at the time by double digits, I’m drinking the kool-aid. There is a reason that Vegas has the Lions favored and I like that more money is publicly on Minnesota.

Do you believe the Lions can win this game? Are the Vikings not as good as their record shows? Well, if you do, Bet $5, Win $150 Extra on your favorite Lions vs Vikings Moneyline with this insane DraftKings offer!

Minnesota is a good team but they aren’t 10-2 good in reality. Although the Vikings have won 10/12 games they only have outscored their opponents by 10 points on the season.

Minnesota has been the beneficiary of winning some really close games and at some point, those close ones aren’t going to go their way, I think this week is one of those weeks they lose a close one. Jared Goff is proving the doubters wrong (I was at one point a doubter) and this feels like a different Lions team who are playing their tail off for Dan Campbell. Is this bet slightly influenced by fandom, I’m sure. Do I like the bet still? Absolutely. Let's roll!
