Bengals vs. Browns Prediction
Cleveland made headlines in the off-season when they acquired superstar quarterback Deshaun Watson. The reason that the Browns made the headlines was due to the off-the-field issues Watson had. Watson had numerous allegations of sexual assault, and the NFL suspended Watson for the first twelve weeks.
Watson made his Browns debut last weekend against his former team, the Houston Texans. Cleveland won the game 27-14, but they did not score an offensive touchdown in the game. Cleveland scored one special team touchdown and two defensive touchdowns. They also added a pair of field goals along the way. Watson looked rusty in the game going 12/22, throwing for just 131 yards in the game. He also had one interception in the game.
On the other side of things, Cincinnati has been riding a high as of late, winning their last four games. Their last two wins have been impressive ones over the Titans and Chiefs. The Bengals won the AFC a season ago, and it appears that they will have an opportunity to repeat this year.
I am backing the Browns on the spread today. I know many people will not love this pick, but I believe this is a Browns line all the way. This is a Browns line, and I trust the line today. I expect a much better performance from Deshaun Watson, who struggled badly last weekend. I expect him to turn in a solid performance here and do enough to keep pace with the Bengal's offense today.
