This number feels low. Mike Evans has hit this in eight out of 14 games including a great receiving game against this same Carolina team. Although that game was a Carolina win where Brady had to throw plenty I still like Mike here even if the Bucs win this one. Carolina is without Jaycee Horn and this is essentially Tom Brady in a playoff game, I like Brady to find his buddy Evans on some deep balls.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Carolina Panthers Prediction
In their first meeting, Evans saw a season-high 15 targets. Although I don’t think he even sees double digits here I have him at about five catches for 70 yards. Only needing 58 feels like a steal against a Carolina defense that allows the seventh most yards to wide receivers. This game is being played in Tampa Bay, which is the place where Evans has only gone over 50+ yards one time before.
It is projected to be pretty unlikely to rain and have minimal wind. The weather being in the 70s which is unique for a January game. So we shouldn’t worry about the weather conditions being a factor here. Evans needs 83 yards to hit 1000 on the season and I don’t think it’s crazy to predict who could hit that here. For our sake, just give us 58 and we’re just cool with that. Let's roll!
