This number just won’t last, there’s no way. I already see this at 65.5 elsewhere. I would play this all the way up to 62.5 so getting 57.5 feels incredible. Pacheco has 58+ rushing yards in seven out of seven games since becoming the RB1 in this Chiefs offense. In those games, he played this same Denver team who he ran for 70 yards against.
When you think of Denver you think of a good defense but when you deep dive their run D it’s nothing special. Denver allows the 11th most rushing yards to running backs and have allowed a running back to run for 60+ in 12 out of 15 games. They wildly shut down Derrick Henry but that game seems more flukey than anything and lately, they have weakened as the season has progressed.
Kansas City enters this game as the double-digit favorites and this screams a running game script, especially in the second half. If the game is controlled I don’t expect Kansas City to risk injury to Mahomes with the playoffs soon coming. This could be early cash where he breaks a big one or a volume-based one where it hits late but this is a number we gotta hop on quickly because by kickoff this will be in the 60s. Let's roll!
