Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tennessee Titans Prediction

The Tennessee Titans vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars will duel things out from the sunshine State with the AFC South title on the line. This has been a wild season around the NFL, and it seems like nobody wants to take this division crown. Entering the season, the Indianapolis Colts were the favorites to win the South, followed by the Titans. Jacksonville held the third-best odds to come out of the South, and if you took them pre-season, you could be in for a good payout if they win this game on Saturday.

A month ago, it looked like the Titans were going to coast to another divisional championship, but things have unraveled in the Music City as of late. Titans' starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill has been out the last few weeks, and it appeared that the Titans would turn to rookie quarterback Malik Willis. Willis did see some action this year, but Head Coach Mike Vrabel said that the team would start former Tennessee standout, Joshua Dobbs. Dobbs started in the Titans' last game when they were defeated by the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football. Dobbs played pretty well for facing a defense as good as Dallas. He threw for 232 yards while throwing a touchdown in the act and just one interception.

The Titans come into the final game of the season losing six games in a row. You have to date all the way back to November 17th for the last Titans win. Jacksonville, meanwhile, comes into play feeling good about themselves as of late. I want to shout out Doug Pederson for the job that he has done this year. Pederson should be in the Coach of the Year discussion for cleaning up the mess that Urban Myer made. This was the worst team in football a season ago, and now they are one win away from winning a division championship.

The Jags have won four games in a row and five of their last six. One of those wins includes a 36-22 victory over the Titans in Tennessee. Trevor Lawrence has taken some great steps this year and is showing the league why he was drafted number one a couple of years ago. Jacksonville comes into play as a 6.5-point favorite.

I am turning to a prop here to end our outstanding NFL season. I will not overthink this prop, as I am taking Derrick Henry to score a touchdown. This is about as basic of a bet as I have made all season but let me tell you why this will cash. When you look at this Tennessee offense, they run through Henry weekly. Now add to the fact that the Titans are on their third-string quarterback and that Henry got a full week off last week, and now maybe you understand why I love this bet. If Tennessee is going to have any chance in this football game, number 22 will find the end zone at some point. Jacksonville ranks No. 11 in the NFL against the run this year, but this is a different type of beast. Henry has picked defenses apart all season long, scoring 13 touchdowns during the regular season. I think we will cash this bet with ease. Let’s close the year with a bang!
