Las Vegas Raiders vs. Kansas City Chiefs Prediction

The Kansas City Chiefs vs. the Las Vegas Raiders will clash from Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday afternoon as the teams will play their final regular season games of the season. Where did this season go? It feels like just a couple of weeks ago, we were kicking things off, and now here, we are in the final week of the season.

It has been another successful campaign for the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs won another AFC West championship, and with a win today, Kansas City will lock up the number one seed in the AFC. It appears that Patrick Mahomes will be the league MVP after turning in a historical type of season. Mahomes has an opportunity tonight to set the all-time single-season passing record in terms of yards. Mahomes needs 430 yards to set the record. Mahomes has said that he is not worried about the record, and he is just worried about getting the win and the number one seed in the AFC, but you have to figure that the record is in the back of his mind.

The Raiders enter the final week of the season, having a miserable year. This was the type of team that had a lot of pre-season hype around them, but they disappointed all. Derrick Carr was the teams starting quarterback all season long, but he was benched last week in favor of Jarrett Stidham. It now appears that Carr will force a trade out of Las Vegas and that the Raiders will look for a new quarterback next season. The Raiders would love to play spoiler today and beat their division rival at home. The Chiefs enter as a nine-point favorite. 

I think that the side on this game is a tough call, but I did find a prop that I love here. I will be backing Jarrett Stidham over 236.5 passing yards. The entire world is talking about Patrick Mahomes and the passing record, but on the other side, we are getting a gift with this Stidham line. Stidham played very well against the best defense in the NFL in the San Francisco 49ers, and I expect him to have success today against this Chiefs defense. KC ranks 18th in the NFL against the pass, and the game script here greatly favors this play. I expect the Raiders to play the majority of this game from behind, which will force the hand of Stidham.
