Well, the 2023-24 NFL season is officially underway, with the first real slate of preseason games taking place tonight, and I am ready to throw a little coin around. This is preseason, guys, be smart and keep your wagers in check. With that said, I am still willing to wager here as it is different than something like MLB preseason. There are certain angles you can take in some of these games for specific reasons that will provide some value for us in certain spots, even with these being exhibition games. Tonight the Green Bay Packers kick off. their preseason campaign against the Cincinnati Bengals, and I am riding with Jordan Love in the first half here.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Green Bay Packers Prediction
This half of football is much more important for the Green Bay Packers; it is that simple. There has been a lot of talk about how this season, the train is going to go off the rails for the Packers; Aaron Rodgers is gone, and the ball is in Jordan Love's hands. A few weeks ago, I heard there was a lot of frustration from the team as a whole, as the defensive unit was just killing the offense in scout teams.
Then I heard Love has looked great lately. Here is the truth, we don't know; with that said, I am willing to bet they are going to take this more seriously tonight. They have more to gain from getting some game experience, need to see how guys are running at full speed, and need to see how the team is shaping up.
On the flip side, the Bengals should do nothing tonight. I am a Bengals fan, I love them and am excited for this season, but I do not expect to see anything really from them tonight. Joe Burrow is hurt, so he'll be taking no reps whatsoever, and we are not going to see stars for them on the field tonight much at all, if any. This a Super Bowl conceding squad that already is in a scary spot with their quarterback down. I do not expect starters to play much, and I wouldn't expect too many schemes to be shown off tonight, either.
