Well, this weekend, football season really starts to feel as if it is underway, with NFL preseason coming to a close and college football kicking off the festivities with week zero starting tomorrow. Although the guys in this league are well out of high school, they get a feeling tonight that they (and everyone else who has ever put pads on) love and chase in life; that feeling you get on Friday nights under those lights. Tonight, we have three NFL preseason games, and we are going to dive into the late-night matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and the San Francisco 49ers.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Chargers Prediction
These are two of football's best teams, and both have high expectations going into the season. San Francisco is coming off a trip to the National Football Conference championship game in which they lost to the Philadelphia Eagles, but the trip was more impressive than you think. The Niners are one of the deepest and most well-rounded teams on both sides of the ball, but they fell to the third and fourth-string QBs by that point.
The good news for us is that means the quarterback room is loaded, and everyone getting reps tonight can effectively move the ball in this wondered offensive scheme.
On the flip side, the Chargers have so many weapons offensively, and assuming the first-stringers get snaps tonight, this first quarter could get off to a hot start. I think there is a lot of opportunity for this game to turn into a high-scoring affair with two great coaches and a lot of talented signal callers getting time in this one against predominately not tier-one defensive units. Each game of the preseason has gone over for these squads so far.
