This is one of the most storied rivalries in the history of the NFL. The two teams first played on November 27th, 1921, when the Bears, formerly called the Staleys, beat the Packers 20-0. Since then, the Packers have controlled the all-time series leading 105-95-6.
This will be the first time since 2008 that Aaron Rodgers will not enter the season at the helm for the Green Bay Packers. The Packers have handed over the keys to former Utah State signal caller Jordan Love. This will be the first year as the team's starting quarterback for Love. Love has thrown for 602 yards and four touchdowns in limited action over the past two seasons.
The Packers still possess one of the best backfields in football. Aaron Jones will be the lead back for the Packers, paired with goal-line bruiser AJ Dillon. The two combined for 1,891 rushing yards in 2022.
Christian Watson took over as the team's No. 1 receiving option in the second half of the year. Watson ended the season with 41 catches, 611 yards, and seven touchdowns. Watson will be the team's No. 1 option in 2023.
Romeo Dubbs and rookie Jayden Reed will be the team's other wide receiver options.
The Packers defense ranked 16th in football in 2022 in yards allowed per game (336.5).
The Bears enter the season with reasonable hype after being the worst team in the NFL in 2022. The Bears ended the year with a record of 3-14. Chicago has not had a winning season since 2018, when the team ended with a 12-4 record. Chicago has won the North just two times since 2007.
Justin Fields will be at the helm for the Bears. The Bears organization proved that Fields was their quarterback of the future when they traded out of the No. 1 position in the NFL draft. Fields threw for 2,242 yards, paired with 17 touchdowns and 17 interceptions in 2022. On top of that, Fields put together multiple highlight reel runs.
DJ Moore was added in a trade that sent Carolina the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft. Moore will be the most talented receiver that Fields has gotten the opportunity to work with at the NFL level. Darnell Mooney and Chase Claypool will also play a key role in the Bear's success in the passing game.
The defense was the main issue for the Bears a season ago. Overall, the Bears ranked 29th in football in yards allowed per game (375.9). Chicago feels as if they are much improved on the defensive side of the football, bringing in linebackers TJ Edwards and Tremaine Edmunds.

Chicago is the better football team, and we are getting a nice number on the Bears in week one at home.
The Packers are incredibly young on offense, so we will likely see some mistakes early on in the year from Love.
Fields began playing his best football at the back end of the 2022 season. We will see Fields pick up where he left off in 2022 and take the league by storm this year, as he finally has weapons to work with.
