For our first NFL bet of the year, we are getting creative. These hit rates are magnificent on this prop, and we should get a game script that makes this very hittable.

Detroit Lions vs. Kansas City Chiefs Prediction

Detroit scored two touchdowns in 15 of 17 games last year, and this game is projected to be high-scoring against the reigning Super Bowl champs. With Chris Jones likely out, we should see Detroit have better success running the ball, which will open up the pass game. Jameson Williams will open the season suspended for gambling, so Josh Reynolds will get a fair share of time on the field.

Last year, we saw Reynolds smash this number in the first five games of the year. Those games were also without Jameson, and he had 28, 38, 96, 81 and 92 yards. This was a five-game average of 67 yards a game. Tonight, all we need is 20! Kansas City are still 4.5 favorites, so this game script implies some level of throwing the ball.

Outside of Amon Ra St. Brown, someone has to step up. Jahmyr Gibbs will definitely be a part of the game plan, but all of his props got juiced and lost value. Marvin Jones is back in Detroit but is reportedly lingering an injury at practice. Sam Laporta should be a nice addition, but it’s always hard to trust a rookie tight end to do much. Reynolds seems like the guy who will be the second most reliable tonight.

20 yards is absolutely nothing; this could cash in one catch. Reynolds getting 20 yards in a game with a 53.5 total seems like a no-brainer. The Lions getting two touchdowns feels like the perfect correlating juice reducer. Let's start the year with a win, and let's roll!
