NFL Week 1 Picks: Can Texans and Jaguars Roll In Week 1?
The second play we are going to dive into on this early slate today is a little alternate spread parlay I cooked up on draftings with some phenomenal odds, in my opinion, and I am all over this spot here. If you cannot play alternate spreads, do not worry; a seven-point teaser should give you a very similar-looking play. You just may lose a point and will have to pay more juice. With that said, let's dive in and briefly discuss these two matchups.
NFL Week 1 Picks
Leg 1: Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens are without question the better squad here all around, and with former MVP Lamar Jackson back at the helm and recovered from injury, I think the Ravens go out there and make some noise in a tight division this year. With that said, it is hard to go out there and be flawless in Week 1, and for that reason, I am on Houston here. This squad has gotten better all around, and the addition of CJ Stroud is a huge boost for a team that has not had a dynamic signal caller in a while.
Leg 2: Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Indianapolis Colts
This is one of my favorite matchups on the board today, and I think the Jaguars are ready to roll. Trevor Lawrence is hitting his stride and entering the MVP-caliber phase of his career. On the flip side, you have a first-year Head Coach and a rookie starting quarterback going for the Colts. They really lacked an identity last season, and while I do believe they are building back in the right direction, it is hard for me to see them winning this one here in Week 1.
