Thursday Night Football is back with the Vikings vs. Eagles! We have a great look at an anytime touchdown scorer prop in TJ Hockenson. The Eagles have a weak spot in their defense, and I believe Hockenson has a chance to take full advantage of it. The Eagles are elite on defense, and I believe the run will not be available for the Vikings, so they are going to have to win through the air.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Minnesota Vikings Prediction
With both of these teams wanting to gain an early season advantage, I believe this will be a shootout of a game, and it only makes sense that Hockenson gets fed the ball. Especially with Jefferson getting mirrored by Darius "Big Play" Slay.
Hockenson had a good week one with nine targets and eight receptions for an outstanding 20.5% target share of the offense. The Eagles defense is very good in the front seven, which should generate tons of pressure on Kirk Cousins tonight. Their cornerbacks are also elite in shutting down top passing options in Darius Slay and James Bradberry.
Unfortunately for the Eagles, Bradberry will be missing tonight's game with an injury, so I believe Slay will mirror Justin Jefferson and try to take him out of the game. Last year, Slay held Jefferson to only one catch while guarding him, while the team only allowed him to gain 48 yards. Last year, the only person to find the end zone versus the Eagles was Irv Smith Jr., the Vikings' previous tight end.
I see something similar to this happening in the end zone again; with the Eagles' primary focus being on covering Jefferson, I believe Hockenson should be able to take advantage of a weaker/injured middle of the field. Nakobe Dean is also out tonight with a foot injury, which should help Hockenson out even more.
I believe tonight, the D-Line should be getting to Cousins quickly, and Hockenson should benefit greatly from those short passes all over the field. Hunter Henry scored last week versus the Eagles as well, so I am positive Hockenson can replicate his stat line, if not better.
