5 minSeahawks vs. Lions Prediction, Pick, Odds: Are Amon-Ra St. Brown, Lions For Real This Time?
The Seattle Seahawks had high expectations coming into this season.
However, the Seahawks lost to a Rams team without Cooper Kupp, 30-13. Seattle's quarterback, Geno Smith, threw for 112 yards and one touchdown on 16 completions on 26 attempts. He didn't look anything like last year's version of himself.
Although it's early, the Seahawks should be concerned with how they started the season. It won't get any easier with a road bout against the Detroit Lions this weekend.
The Lions just knocked off the Chiefs in Week 1 and have the most hype around the franchise in a long time.
Will the Seahawks continue a disappointing start to the season with another loss in Week 2?
Here are our picks, predictions, and odds for Sunday's game between the Seattle Seahawks vs. Detroit Lions.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Detroit Lions Prediction
The Seattle Seahawks weren't prepared for that first game against the Rams last weekend. The Seahawks added just 197 yards on offense and allowed 426 yards on defense.
Even worse, the Rams didn't even have Cooper Kupp. It was Puka Nauca and Tutu Atwell who dominated the Seahawks' defense with 16 receptions and over 200 yards receiving combined.
The Seattle secondary was terrible. The pass rush was weak, leading to a terrible performance against a Rams team that everyone thought would tank the season away.
Meanwhile, the Lions added over 370 yards against the Chiefs in Week 1 behind a terrific offensive line. Detroit didn't unleash Jahmyr Gibbs as some expected, but the rookie running back should play a more significant role as the season progresses.
The Lions still have a solid duo between David Montgomery and Gibbs and have a bunch of quality receivers, including Amon-Ra St. Brown.
The Seattle defense, especially in the secondary, will struggle to keep up with St. Brown and the other Lions receivers.
Meanwhile, the Seahawks have plenty of talent at receiver, too. They just never got open last weekend against the Rams.
Seattle's core of DK Metcalf, Tyler Locket, and Jaxon Smith Njigba looks good on paper. But that trio didn't perform very well. None of those receivers earned more than three catches or 50 yards receiving. It's hard to win games when that happens.
The Lions should be great against the run. However, they'll make mistakes in the passing game. The secondary is not Detroit's strong suit. Tackling isn't either.
Therefore, I think the Seahawks get back on track offensively against the Lions. However, the Lions also won't have trouble scoring against the Seahawks.
Let's back the Over.
