Jet's fans suffered the most heartbreaking win in week one, as they beat the Bills, but it came with the price tag of losing Aaron Rodgers for the season with a torn Achilles. Now, the team turns back to Zach Wilson, who did not impress in 2022, urging the move to acquire Rodgers in the first place in the offseason. Wilson and the Jets will be matched up against the Cowboys, who trampled the Giants in week one by a score of 40-0. With two good defenses, we have a low total of just 38.5 points. Will it still stay under?

Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Jets Predictions
The Cowboy's defense was the only unit to shut out a team in week one, holding the Giants to zero points and even scoring some points themselves. The Cowboy's defense outscored the Gaint's offense in week one, and there is a real possibility it will happen again in week two against Zach Wilson and the Jets.
Last year, the Jets were 5-4 in games Zach Wilson played in, but it wasn't due to any large offensive performance. He topped 300 passing yards in two of those games, and the Jets lost both. The games the Jets won were when Wilson and the offense stuck to a conservative gameplan and played the time of possession game. I can't imagine the plan will be any different against the Cowboys.
The Cowboy's defense is absolutely loaded, and their defensive line is a horrible matchup against a weak Jets offensive line. We saw the Cowboys land seven sacks in week one against the Giants. I don't think the Jets will be able to get any passing game going because Zach Wilson will not have any time in the pocket.
Last season, Zach Wilson saw totals under 40 three times - in weeks 7, 11, and 16. All three games failed to reach 40 points, with the highest total reaching 25 points in those three games. The total is 38.5 today, and these lines have historically gone under in week two.
Over the last 20 years, week two totals under 40 points have gone under at a 70.5% rate, going 43-18-3 to the under. That is a trend I cannot ignore, as it plays into strong defenses early in the season, both of which the Jets and Cowboys have. This game could easily finish 17-10 or roughly around that. 38.5 is a very low number on a total, but with Zach Wilson on the field, I don't doubt we may not even see 30 points.
