Well, we have a glorious slate on this fine Sunday with some matchups I am loving here in Week 2. The NFL season is fully underway now, and I am ready to attack this slate today; let's dive in. The first play I want to dive into is likely the squareest one I will lock in today, and I do not care; it is hitting.
Week 2 NFL Parlay
Leg 1: Kansas City Chiefs vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
This game is the one that would cause concern here. In my eyes, either game does, but I think the result will be inevitable here in the end. Kansas City lost the season opener to Detroit after a plethora of self-inflicted wounds. They made a lot of mistakes offensively, dropped an insane eight passes (multiple being legitimate game-changing passes), and a pick-six that gave Detroit the win.
The Jaguars are the best team in the AFC South, and Trevor Lawrence is a dark horse MVP candidate. However, I just cannot see the Chiefs starting the season 0-2. The defending Super Bowl champions are still being coached by one of the greatest coaches In NFL history, Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes is clearly the best quarterback in the game. I expect a motivated, dynamic Chiefs squad to perform much better and get back to .500 on the season today.
Leg 2: Las Vegas Raiders vs. Buffalo Bills
Josh Allen is a gunslinger. I do not think he is the best quarterback in the league. I actually believe he is a bit overhyped, but he is still, without question, one of the best in the business right now. The self-inflicted wounds, like the multiple interceptions he threw last week, need to go away, but a guy who can make those great plays will also make mistakes from time to time.
The team itself is still very well put together on both sides of the ball, and I know the defense can keep the Raiders in check. If Buffalo can score 30+ today, I do not see Vegas being able to keep this close.
