We did this last week, and it was cashed, so I am going to go right back to the well until it runs dry. I do not mind waiting a few days for a bet to cash; I bet on golf tournaments all the time. Good things come to those who wait, and instead of backing a spread that is a little rich for my blood tonight, we are going to tease down San Francisco with a game I love on Sunday.
Week 3 NFL Parlay
Leg 1: New York Giants vs. San Francisco 49ers
The come-from-behind victory over the Arizona Cardinals was massive for the New York Giants. It is early in the year, I am aware, but losing two games off the rip and getting skunked 40-0 in week one would have been very demoralizing heading into this primetime clash with the San Francisco 49ers. I expect a strong effort in the primetime shine, as always, but they have a lot on their plate with San Francisco.
Arguably the best team in the league, they are relentless on both sides of the ball. The defensive pressure Daniel Jones will face tonight from that line is going to be problematic, and the guys in coverage can and will do their jobs. I am 100% behind any offense Kyle Shannahan is running, and with how dynamic they have proven to be, I don't see this team struggling to score against anyone. Give me Brock Purdy.
Leg 2: Indianapolis Colts vs. Baltimore Ravens
Indianapolis Colts rookie Anthony Richardson actually has looked fine in his first two starts, but after taking a shot in the end zone last week, the young signal caller left the game and did not return. There is a possibility he is not cleared to play on Sunday, and in that situation, Gardner Minshew would take over under center. There are worse backups in the league. Minshew has starting experience and will not look terrible out there, but this Ravens squad is poised to easily win this game regardless.
If they avoid penalties and dumb turnovers, this squad will be better on both sides of the ball and has already beaten some strong competition in a big early-season divisional game. Lamar Jackson is quietly still one of the elite quarterbacks in the game (possibly not to all, but he has not been spoken of much lately), and I expect a performance that could get him into the early MVP chatter again. This is an advantageous matchup all around.
