Atlanta Falcons vs. Detroit Lions Prediction

Atlanta enters play with a record of 2-0. The Falcons have surprised many this year with their hot start.

Atlanta took down the Carolina Panthers in Week 1 and followed that up with a comeback win over the Green Bay Packers.

Quarterback Desmond Ridder leads this Falcons offense. Ridder has played well in his first two weeks at the helm, throwing for 352 yards and two touchdowns.

The running game has been elite for Atlanta in the young season.

Bijan Robinson leads the team with 180 yards on the ground. Tyler Alliger has rushed for 123 yards on 31 attempts.

Veteran Mack Hollins leads the team in receiving yards with 91.

The defense for Atalanta has looked very good. Linebacker Kaden Ellis leads the team in tackles with 15.

Detroit enters play with a 1-1 record.

The Lions went into Kansas City and beat the defending champs in Week 1. Things did not go the Lions' way in Week 2 as they lost to the Seahawks 37-31 in overtime.

Jared Goff has impressed early in the year, throwing for 566 yards and four touchdowns.

The Lions will be without running back David Montgomery, who was injured in Week 2. This should open the door for rookie Jahmyr Gibbs to get more carries.

Detroit may also be without star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. St. Brown did practice Thursday, which is encouraging. He leads the team with 173 yards and one touchdown.

Detroit played outstanding on defense in Week 1 but struggled badly against the Seahawks.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Detroit Lions Pick

Detroit is a bit banged up entering play, but this is a deep enough roster to overcome injuries.

The Falcons are due for regression, and on the road, this is the spot where they will regress.

The Falcons are not an offense built to get into a shootout, and the Lions' offense will be too much for them to keep pace with.

Detroit will bounce back and cover at home.
