Denver Broncos vs. Miami Dolphins Prediction

The Broncos might be 0-2, but they’ve looked much better than their record. The Russ and Sean Payton collab has looked solid, especially last week against a solid Commanders’ defense. Russ almost brought the Broncos back from the grave with a last-second Hail Mary, but it wasn’t enough. Look for Russ to carry his momentum from the second half of that game into today’s contest.

Russ has been extremely efficient over the middle of the field. The Dolphins have an above-average defense, but their secondary is vulnerable over the middle. Xavier Howard has been locking down the sidelines for years, but if Russ can stay hot and find his receivers on slants over the middle like he’s done all season, the Broncos will have a chance to win this game.

Don’t sleep on the Broncos defense. Although they might not be as elite as they were with Von Miller back in the day, they still have Patrick Surtain and Kareem Jackson in the secondary, and with no Jaylen Waddle for the Dolphins, Denver might shock some people on the defensive side of the ball. Expect the Broncos to put Surtain on Tyreek Hill, trying to limit his production much like the Patriots did last week. They won’t let Hill beat them, and without Waddle, the Broncos have a chance to limit the big plays and keep this one within the number.

The Broncos were getting a touchdown on the spread all week until the spread started to trickle down this weekend. Denver is now +5.5 on some books, with nearly 75% of bets coming in on the Chiefs at home (per VSIN). This reverse line movement is a great sign for Broncos backers.

This is the only matchup in week three between an undefeated and winless team both in the standings and against the spread. Fade the public and bet the Broncos with the points. Russ has looked great with Sean Payton and should continue to get better every week.
