Los Angeles Rams vs Cincinnati Bengals Same Game Parlay: Will Puka Nacua Continue to Roll on MNF?

There is a lot of talk about whether or not Joe Burrow will play tonight as he is dealing with a calf injury. Instead of picking a side or total for this game, I cooked up a same game parlay for the Los Angeles Rams vs. Cincinnati Bengals game that I think has a lot of value. Let's break it down.

Rams vs. Bengals Date, Time, and Where to Watch

  • Date: September 24, 2023
  • Time: 8:20 pm ET
  • Where to Watch: ESPN, ESPN2

BENGALS VS RAMS:

Leg 1: Matthew Stafford 200+ Passing Yards

Even without Cooper Kupp, this Rams team hasn't missed a beat on offense. Matthew Stafford has thrown for 300+ yards in both games to this point as he has totaled 38 and 55 attempts across the first two games. The Rams simply have to throw the ball to stay in games which is what we have seen to this point and if they are facing a negative game script, they will be forced to throw until the very end and 200+ yards feels like a small benchmark for Stafford.

Leg 2: Puka Nacua 40+ Receiving yards

Puka Nacua will probably win some people their fantasy leagues this season with how well he has played in the first few weeks. Nacua has reeled in an astonishing 25 passes so far on the young season and has 35 total targets through two weeks. Nacua is without a doubt Stafford's favorite target at the moment and has notched 266 yards through two games to this point. In a game that the Rams are expected to be trailing, Nacua should be able to notch 40+ yards as I expect him to get at least 10 targets in this game.

Leg 3: Joe Mixon 40+ Rushing yards

The Rams have been gashed on the ground a bit this season as they allowed Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel to run wild on them last week. Even in the Rams first game of the season against Seattle when they were up for most of the game, they still allowed Kenneth Walker to run for 64 yards on 5.3 yards per carry in a negative game script. Joe Mixon has ran for 56 and 59 yards in his two games to this point, both of which they were trailing for a large majority in a negative game script which is encouraging for Mixon's production. There is also a chance that Burrow doesn't play tonight and if that happens, I fully expect the Bengals offense to lean heavily on Mixon in the running game.

Leg 4: Full Game Under 61.5

This is more of a parlay leg to lower the juice. The rams were involved in a high scoring game last week against the 49ers that still only saw 53 total points. On the other side, the Bengals offense has looked really anemic, and I do not see this game being a shootout.
