It was all fun and games for the Washington Commanders until last weekend.

The Commanders started the season 2-0 but most recently lost 37-3 to the Buffalo Bills on the road.

There's still plenty of work to do for the Commanders.

Although the Eagles haven't played their best football to begin the year, they're still 3-0.

Can the Commanders be the first team to knock off the Eagles?

Washington Commanders vs. Philadelphia Eagles Prediction

The Washington Commanders will earn some big upsets this season. They have a ton of talent on offense and have a powerful defense, especially against the pass.

But it likely won't come early in the season against the reigning NFC champions.

The Commanders have only earned 330 yards on offense and have allowed nearly 350 yards on defense. The run game has lagged, with only 106.3 yards per game behind Brian Robinson Jr.

Robinson Jr. has earned 216 yards and two touchdowns on 47 carries. He's getting the bulk of the carries next to Antonio Gibson.

Meanwhile, Sam Howell has shown growth this season. He's added 671 yards and has three touchdowns. However, he also has five interceptions and is playing behind an offensive line that has been average at best at protecting him.

Howell must make better decisions, especially knowing he's got Jahan Dotson, Terry McLaurin, and Curtis Samuel running routes.

The Philadelphia defense is dominant against the run. The Eagles are also fantastic at rushing the passer. Therefore, Howell will likely have difficulty getting things moving for the second straight week.

On the other hand, the Commanders have a great pass rush and have done well in the secondary. But with the Eagles earning 185.7 yards per game on the ground, the Commanders are likely toast.

Washington has given up 128.7 yards per game on the ground this season. That's also their worst portion of the defense through the first three games.

D'Andre Swift has led the way with 308 yards on 45 carries. However, the Eagles also have Kenneth Gainwell, Rashaad Penny, and potentially Boston Scott, who can all play running back for the team on any given drive.

Jalen Hurts also can scramble and run on designed plays. Hurts hasn't looked his best in the passing game so far, throwing three interceptions in three games. But the Eagles won't have to pass it all too much.

They'll have the most success rushing the football.

Take the Eagles to win big.
