Seattle Seahawks vs New York Giants Prediction: Can Daniel Jones, Giants Bounce Back on Monday Night Football?
In what seems like forever ago on Thursday Night Football last week, we saw the New York Giants get blown out by the San Francisco 49ers in their second pathetic effort of the season. Can they regroup tonight against Geno Smith and the 2-1 Seattle Seahawks? Let's break it down.

The Giants had high hopes for this season after an unexpected playoff appearance last year. Many thought they would take the next step and improve onto their 2022 success but that just has not been the case so far.

Seattle Seahawks vs. New York Giants Prediction
They got absolutely embarrassed in Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys by an unprecedented score of 40-0 and if not for an improbable second half comeback against the lowly Arizona Cardinals, would be 0-3 after they suffered another blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football last week. In that game against San Francisco, the Giants defense was on the field for nearly the entire game as the 49ers dominated the time of possession with their strong running game. The Niners had the ball for just under 40 minutes compared to the Giants 20:50 TOP in the game overall.
It's hard for an offense to find any type of rhythm when they aren't on the field and San Francisco controlled nearly the entire game with their tempo/running game from the opening kick. It's hard to put that loss on Daniel Jones as he was under pressure for much of the game as he was sacked twice, pressured three times, and knocked down/hit 6 other times as well. The 49ers have been doing that to nearly every team this season though as they are now 3-1 ATS (Probably should be 4-0) and have one of the best defenses in the league so I am not going to be extremely hard on Daniel Jones and this Giants offensive unit after a poor showing against Nick Bosa and that stout Niners front seven.
Overall the Giants have had one of the tougher schedules in the league to this point as the Cowboys and 49ers appear to be strong playoff contenders and the Cardinals have been much more competitive than anyone thought them to be. This game against Seattle tonight will be the worst defense that the Giants have faced, and I think this is the perfect get right spot for Daniel Jones and this anemic Giants offense.
The Seahawks have been pretty stout against the run as they are actually ranked first in the NFL in least yards allowed per carry (2.9) but they have been very bad in the backend at defending the pass. They are ranked 28th in passing yards allowed per attempt (7.5) and 30th in sack percentage on the season to this point. So, they are not getting any pressure on the quarterback and their corners/safeties are not holding up in coverage... that is a recipe to give up a lot of passing yards, which they have to this point.
Seahawks opponents are averaging 328 yards per game against them which is dead last in the NFL by a wide margin of just under 30 yards. Seattle let Andy Dalton throw for 361 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions and a very below average receiving core. The Giants WR room isn't great by any means, but Daniel Jones and this Giants' passing attack should be able to find success against this weak Seahawks secondary, much like Andy Dalton and the Panthers did.
This should be a breakout game for Daniel Jones after some really tough matchups and I think the Giants overall are due for some positive regression tonight. With that being said, I am rolling with Giants +2.5 at -105 for 1U as my most confident NFL Play of the Day for tonight's action.
