Chicago Bears vs. Washington Commanders Best Bet: Can Sam Howell, Commanders Run Up the Score?

The Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders play tonight to kick off NFL Week 5. Can Sam Howell and the Commanders run up the score? NFL analyst Krabs provides his Chicago Bears vs. Washington Commanders best bet.

Chicago Bears vs. Washington Commanders Best Bet: Can Sam Howell, Commanders Run Up the Score?

Justin Fields is coming off his first 300+ yard game through the air in his career. He silenced the doubters with a legacy performance last week, but it wasn’t enough to earn a win. I wouldn’t be surprised if Fields follows last week’s legacy from performance with another gem against an overrated Washington Commanders’ secondary.

Chicago Bears vs. Washington Commanders Prediction

Sam Howell has a prime matchup against one of the worst secondaries in the NFL. It doesn’t hurt that the Chicago Bears have only recorded one sack this season. Howell should have plenty of opportunities to light up the scoreboard and shine at home under the Thursday night lights. He has plenty of weapons too. Terry McLaurin is coming off his best game of the season, and seems to be progressing every week from a lingering turf toe injury. Logan Thomas should be a factor in the offense as Howell’s safety-net, and Jahan Dotson recorded his first touchdown of the season last week. This offense is coming off a great game against the Philadelphia Eagles, and should without a doubt follow it up against one of the worst defenses in football tonight.

The total for this matchup opened up at 42.5, and has gone up two points. Very rarely do you see a total in a Commanders game move up. This is a great sign for over backers, and it doesn’t hurt that both offenses have great matchups tonight. If the Bears can establish the run with Khalil Herbert like they did last week against Denver, it will open up the middle of the field for some quick passes. I’m sure the Bears’ coaching staff has made it a point to get the ball out quick against this elite defensive line.

Bet this over before the total gets any higher. The Commanders might cash this over themselves, as Howell and Eric Bieniemy are still trying to prove to the league that they deserve their roles. I’m predicting a Bieniemy masterclass against a poorly-coached Bears’ team. There will be plenty of points from both offenses, don’t be surprised if the Bears end their losing streak tonight and shock the world.
